KyleCares Foundation
KyleCares is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting open and honest communication about the mental health challenges experienced by teens and young adults in today’s society. They aim to eliminate student self-harm and suicide by creating school environments where students and their caregivers have the confidence and support to seek help without shame or hesitation.
KyleCares helps high schools and colleges in New England support student mental health by connecting schools with mental health resources and service providers, facilitating long-term, comprehensive strategies to address student mental health, and funding school-based mental health education, awareness, and suicide prevention programs such as the KyleCares Conference and the Send Silence Packing exhibit. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
Established in 1987, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death. AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide, including those who have experienced a loss. AFSP creates a culture that’s smart about mental health by funding scientific research, educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention, advocating for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention, and supporting survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide. Epione Health and Wellness Center
Epione Health and Wellness Center was founded to support the ongoing need for mental health and wellness support for all, within one affordable and inclusive space. They provide Holistic Healing focused on soothing pain and creating positive changes in the whole body, mind, and spirit. Epione is dedicated in providing services to the community that are inclusive and accessible to all, while remaining genuine and authentic in our approach to all who come through our doors. They have partnered with Norton School Systems and SVF to provide counseling to students in need who are otherwise unable to receive these important services. Active Minds
Active Minds is the nation’s premier nonprofit organization supporting mental health awareness and education for young adults. Now in its nineteenth year, Active Minds is present in more than 1,000 schools, communities, and workplaces nationwide, including more than 500 student-led chapters. Our programs and services empower young adults to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, create communities of support, and ultimately save lives. Through education, research, advocacy, and a focus on young adults ages 14–25, Active Minds is opening up the conversation about mental health and creating lasting change in the way mental health is talked about, cared for, and valued in the US. The Jed Foundation
The Jed Foundation (JED) is a nonprofit that exists to protect emotional health and prevent suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. JED equips teens and young adults with the skills and knowledge to help themselves and each other; partners with high schools and colleges to strengthen their mental health, substance misuse and suicide prevention programs and systems; and encourages community awareness, understanding and action for young adult mental health. Samaritans, Inc.
Samaritans, Inc’s mission is to reduce the incidence of suicide by alleviating despair, isolation, distress and suicidal feelings among individuals, 24 hours a day; to educate the public about suicide prevention; to help those who have lost a loved one to suicide; and to reduce the stigma associated with suicide. As part of their Community Education and Outreach program, Samaritans hosts free workshops on suicide prevention at middle and high schools, colleges and universities, corporate offices, elder care facilities, and gatekeeper organizations across Greater Boston and MetroWest.
